Text Box: Perhaps the most important truths you will ever read or hear the ones that declare the absolute holiness of God and the innate and absolute sin nature of man because of the “Genesis fall.”

In order to be RIGHTLY related to the one true God, the God of the Bible, you must accept the reality of His existence with all the biblically acclaimed qualities that refer to him; i.e. God is eternal, holy, personal and loving.

God’s eternality sets him apart from the physical world he created as the uncaused first cause of all physical reality. He is not confined to the physical world nor limited to it. Colossians 1:16 & John 1:1-3

You must believe that God is Holy (Isaiah 6:1-3)

The holiness of God defines his inherent moral perfection. God exists in absolute moral perfection and no imperfect being can acceptably stand in his presence.

In his presence, sinful creatures would be consumed. (Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire)

God is also personal. He is not detached from his creation but actively involved with man before the fall and redemptively since the fall.

You must believe that you are a sinner, by nature.
There is no possible way for man to appease a perfectly holy God, because of that sin nature. In fact, “all of our righteousnessess are as filthy rags,” said the prophet Isaiah. “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” (Isaiah 64:6). This eye opening reality corresponds with what the Apostle Paul said in Romans 3:10. “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Psalms 51:5; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 53:6)

The sinfulness of mankind, while one of the most denied doctrines of Christendom, is probably one of the easiest of theological truths to verify. If you aren’t convinced of sin by looking at our world just look at your own heart and an honest appraisal will reveal a basic nature that is bent toward independence from and rebellion against God.

Because we are sinners, The penalty for Sin is death.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death....*
Since death is a universal problem, it points to the universality of sin. In other words, since all people die, then all people are evidently sinners.

Physical death will but usher us into hell. From there it only gets worse because all sinners will stand at the Great White Throne of Judgment where they will be judged and cast into the lake of fire for their rejection of Christ’s atoning work on the cross.

God is Love (perhaps the most misunderstood concept in our modern world)

God loves the people of the world despite their sin.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son...

Since sin requires death, (separation form God for eternity in a burning hell), we are hopelessly lost as sinful creatures. Unable to approach God because of that sin, God, in love, provided a sacrifice for us in his son, Jesus Christ.

The love of God provided that satisfying substitute. (1 John 2:2)
The love of God does not mean that He gives approval to our sinfulness. It means that despite our sinful state, He provides a means by which He can accept us. That is the purpose of Christ's death.

All men and women stand condemned before him. “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Placing one's trust in the sufficient work of Christ on the Cross brings salvation to the believing sinner because God provided the acceptable satisfactory substitutional sacrifice for our sin.
John 1:12 But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God not of works lest any man	should boast.

Acts 16:31 Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

You need not beg God to save because he has already done everything to get the job done.
